Indian Supper Club at Delapre Abbey Northamptonshire !

Hello, Namaste and welcome to my first summer supper club!

Trust you all had a lovely winter break and enjoyed Christmas and all that partying…..and I hope you welcoming the warmth of the spring and looking forward to the summer!

I have spent the last three months thinking about creating some new excitement in the little town that we live filled with beautiful vintage buildings and surrounded by lush greenery. It has been crazy and busy with my actual day job and also to enjoy little trips to beautiful places which inspire me to cook, and yes so it has been a whirlwind few months!

However, now I finally have had some bright ideas and inspiration which has led me to to focus on building this new concept of supper club with no inhibitions of resturant expectations but pure joy to meet and eat with friends and to make new ones and learn a new cultural side to cooking!

🙂 so I am super excited to be able to share my next Supper Club date in the heart of Northampton

Hobby Cooks cooking school will be there to welcome you @Delapre Abbey

Saturday 25th May 2019   Time : 7:30  to 10 pm   BYOB

With a mouth watering menu with recipes I have pulled together over the last few months and haven’t been released on blogs yet!

I am super excited about this menu as it has a lot of new and fresh flavours that are very close to my heart and all of the dishes I have designed purely on the thought that you would be able to understand the history the story that is on your plate with my special theme”Food on my Plate” so you won’t be able to try them anywhere else and there is a first time for everything and more…

So if you would like more information or would like to book in, please let me know as soon as possible as I am only releasing a very limited spaces for this one.

Indian food is very cultural. It is a social event. One that you go to as strangers and come out with some life long friends. It is not fine dining, it is huge pots of great flavours. Ones that when you take off the lid and you close your eyes you can be transported to a the beautiful colourful landscape of tropical weather, the food markets with all the fragrance, chatter and laughter that evokes. So, this is the reason, why I will be cooking and creating at Delapre Abbey is big sharing plates, Big long tables, huge pots of food that have been lovingly prepared, chatter, laughter and you are guaranteed to meet new people and you will definitely not leave hungry!

I have a passion for traditional Indian food & authentic ingredients and at these events I will prepare and cook all of my favourite dishes from my childhood. The menu will feature classic Indian comfort foods called ‘Thali’ which an Indian family will lovingly adorn the plate with different flavours from pickles to vegetables to sweetness all exhibiting the balance and cultural way to make simple cooking delicious.

The main 5 flavour notes you can expect to taste are Turmeric, Cumin Coriander, Ginger&Garlic !

Delapre Abbey is a Urban country house and park in the most stunning setting. The ambience at is relaxed friendly and inviting. Think, the social aspect of going for a curry with your friends, with some good home cooking, conversation and laughter thrown into the mix.
